Meet The Cast of "The Secret Garden"
We had so much fun with our childhood questionnaires for "Charlotte's Web" that we decided to do it again with the cast and crew of "The Secret Garden."
We asked Alvaro Beltran, who plays Dickon, about what he was like as a kid, and here's what he said.
1. What was your favorite book as a child?
“Holes” by Louis Sachar. Oh, and when the movie came out, forget about it! I think that’s when my love for books that get turned into movies/TV shows was born.
2. What was your favorite film?
I loved all of the Disney classics (still do), but if I had to pick one, I’d say Hercules. I feel like it’s wicked underrated. Greek mythology rocks and the soundtrack is awesome. "Go the Distance," anyone, anyone?
3. What did you want to be when you grew up?
A news broadcaster so I could be on TV or an archaeologist so I could travel and discover stuff.
4. Who was your best friend?
Perla, one of my 8 dogs when I lived in Bolivia
5. Who was your favorite teacher?
Ms. Reagan, my 8th grade science teacher.
6. What did you like to do during the summer?
Family road trips to the lake.
7. What were you afraid of?
Pretty much all bugs (still not a fan, but I like respect some of them now — thank you for all you do, honey bees #respect)
8. What was your favorite food?
Chicken made ANY way. Still the case now. My parents used to tell me I would turn into a chicken because that's all I'd eat.
9. What was your favorite place?
School. Yeah that’s right, folks. School.
10. Name somebody who changed your life.
I’m going to have to throw it back to my 8th grade teacher, Ms. Reagan. She made me love science and I’m incredibly grateful to have had her as a teacher.
