Our Final Epic Baby
Well, it's time to close up shop for the summer (even though we'll be opening our new season in just two weeks) and that means one more baby questionnaire.
What a better send-off to our favorite campaign than with our General Manager and the Director of "The Secret Garden" Megan Ruggiero.
1. What was your favorite book as a child?
The first book I remember falling in love with was “Where the Red Fern Grows.” I also remember having every Golden Book known to humankind.
2. What was your favorite film?
The most underrated Disney film of all time: “Oliver & Company.” Billy Joel! I mean, come on!
3. What did you want to be when you grew up?
A teacher! And some day, I still plan to be one.
4. Who was your best friend?
When I lived in Idaho, I was best friends with a boy and girl who lived next door named Joel and Tannis. I made them play Power Rangers with me more than they probably ever wanted or needed. They were good friends.
5. Who was your favorite teacher?
Mr. Summers (4th grade)! He was nerdy and delightful and inspired my obsession with history (mostly via that amazing computer game, “The Oregon Trail”).
6. What did you like to do during the summer?
I loved to swim and stalk the ice cream man.
7. What were you afraid of?
I had some incredibly vivid nightmares with creepy shadow figures. I was pretty terrified of those, but I was also afraid of failure. Nothing has changed. I was a complex kid.
8. What was your favorite food?
Pizza and anything grape flavored.
9. What was your favorite place?
The baseball/softball field! I was a jock years before I was an artist. My Epic friends now know all about my prolific football throwing arm.
10. Name somebody who changed your life.
I have phenomenal parents. They deserve a shout out, but my Uncle Mike was the first person who told me I had a knack for acting who I felt like didn’t just have to say that. Unfortunately, he passed away in 2010, but he would be so proud of everything I’ve accomplished in the arts. He was a total boss.
